What can we expect?
There is a lot of pent up psychological and emotional pressure (wrath), in the US that is seeking for release. I think we can soon expect, then, a minority group scape goat that will conveniently surface or re-surface, most likely to be unjustly framed, which will then become the object of national and collective wrath; it will be a minority upon which conscious or repressed subconscious guilt will be offloaded. The result is an increasing sense of self-righteous moral superiority, a psychological issue that is already deeply rooted among proud people, which most of us Americans are.
This is also how the religious-military-industrial-propaganda complex (#R-MIPc) works and the basis upon which it operates. It feeds on the general hatred, perceived, real, or manufactured, in order to create monetary, political gains, and more sinisterly, fear sustained religious converts. It inspires a false righteous indignation in the hearts and minds of the masses.
This accomplished, an American people, currently deeply divided, would then unite in their common purpose to “destroy” the enemy who has wronged them. There are claims which people feel they are entitled to which will be magnified before their imaginations in order to, as it were, pour oil onto the flames of their wrath.
The problem, however, is this— while the system works that way mechanically, in reality humans are actually quite different. Humans are not machines or robots. People do not possess just factual memory but emotional memory, something which machines do not have. In addition to this, all humans have creative powers which are under appreciated and overlooked by those who abuse the system for their own gains.
Fundamentally, the R-MIPc attempts to hold the larger population of the people in ignorance of their true potential by discouraging personal access to the ennobling trues which reveal what they can become by the Agency of the Higher and Outer Divine Powers.
Looking at a lesson from history in the French Revolution, we read these words:
“At the opening of the Revolution, by a concession of the king, the people were granted a representation exceeding that of the nobles and the clergy combined. Thus the balance of power was in their hands; but they were not prepared to use it with wisdom and moderation. Eager to redress the wrongs they had suffered, they determined to undertake the reconstruction of society. An outraged populace, whose minds were filled with bitter and long-treasured memories of wrong, resolved to revolutionize the state of misery that had grown unbearable and to avenge themselves upon those whom they regarded as the authors of their sufferings. The oppressed wrought out the lesson they had learned under tyranny and became the oppressors of those who had oppressed them.” The Great Controversy p. 282.1
The narrative that the R-MIPC systematically produces may tend toward a scapegoat figure, however, the people eventually wake up once that targeted, and in many cases persecuted or destroyed scapegoat minority, does not ultimately relieve them in the long term. In fact, it creates more guilt once they realize that the scapegoat was false and their remorse and hatred intensifies to seek out the “true” source.
This cycle repeats and intensifies until unimaginable scenes eventually break out.
Personally, I find release from the wrath cycle through accepting the forgiveness of Christ and forgiving others.
The most difficult thing for me is the “forgiving myself” idea which some people have proposed. Nevertheless, the forgiveness which Christ offers ultimately trumps the tendency to exalt my feelings above His promises.
Those who do not find that psychological and emotional release through Christ and His promises have to look for it elsewhere. Just as we need a place to break at the end of the day, or a breath of fresh air, simply speaking, a resting place, so too do the pent up psychological and emotional trauma. This is what Jesus Christ calls “Rest for your souls.”
The Sanctuary, or Tabernacle, was in olden time the place where communities or individuals would go to off-load their sins. The priest or priests being the person or persons, who would place the collective guilt of a community or individuals on sacrificial animals.
Without Him, we try to store up all this guilt in places which cannot sustain it. We cannot bear the load.
On the other side, unfortunately, is the strange infatuation or “falling into love” with the R-MIPC, which brings no rest to the soul. The language Scripture uses is “and they have no rest, day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
Falling in love with a system, especially one as diabolical as the RMIPC may seem strange to some. But idols come in all shapes, sizes, and systems.
The final movements will be rapid.
I thank God for the Enduring Heavenly Temple where Jesus intercedes and ministers for me—and you.
You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after many to pervert justice. - Exodus 23:2
