Jesus. Who is He? Where is He? Most importantly, Why is He?

The image of Jesus is One, yet like refracted light, is broken into many pieces all around the world. We could say His light is broken up into millions of smaller lights, like stars. Or, we could say His light is broken into seven colors, like the bow.

The key things to know is that Jesus is the central light of this world, and He as the sole express image of the One true God reveals the primary goal of life for humanity, and as the Son of God, reveals the character of God also. The implications of both of these are so weighty that it is inevitable that conflicts arise to combat the claims of those who seek to present Jesus to the world. Nevertheless, the effects of Jesus' sacrifice impact the changing world today.

How does His sacrifice impact our world? And what changes are being made? Regarding the impact, His sacrifice chiefly brings to light the principles that are in contest-- the principles of life above and of the darkness beneath, of voluntary surrender, submission, and love to God contrasted with the fearful threatning efforts of violence, suppression, oppression, and selfishness.

The resurrection of Christ from the mysterious agony and violent death on Calvary birthed the sounding voice of the church which, though in earthen vessels, still calls all to choose Him as the Chief Friend of our hearts and Author of our biographies. Biographies which we have a role in writing and which are under attack from forces without, below, and within. At every step of life, whether of a child, youth, or adult, we are called to see Jesus' life manifested in us and in all who are unwilling to draw back but who will to believe and follow Him to total saving of the soul.
